Dr Ambedkar

This posthumous portrait of Dr Ambekar was based on an old, low resolution, Black and White photo. Initially, I was somewhat reluctant to take on the commission for the full colour painting, but found and referred to other photgraphic referece for the bougainvillea; and used my expereince for the important skin tones. The portrait hangs in the the Ambedkar Room at Gray`s Inn.
