Circumstances regarding this portrait painting commission, including a 340 mile round trip drive, led to the portrait being painted in my Milton Keynes studio on the basis of photographic reference taken in Hull. While in Hull, photos were loaded on to a lap top to enable full agreement with the client of composition, lighting, expression, etc.
